1. What is the internet?
The Internet is the world’s largest wide area network (WAN). It's tons and tons of networks that include webpages, email, messaging, etc. Even online gaming. It is said that by December of 2011, over 2 million were using the internet. Hardly anyone was using the internet before the 1990s.
2. What is protocol?
Protocols control or enable the connection, communication, and data transfer between two computing endpoints. Protocols are also known as rules. The first protocol was made in 1969. These protocols are changed every one in a while. Protocols are still used to today.
3. What is DNS?
DNS is like a phone book for the Internet; it looks up a host name and returns an IP address, or vice versa. DNS helps with the server on your computer. It also stands for Domain Name Service. DNS servers only has that information for a limited number of host names and IP addresses.
